Prince Amine is an R&B / Afrobeats artist from Montreal whose sound is as unique and diverse as his multicultural background. Born in Morocco, but spending most of his childhood in Spain with his African American father before moving to Canada with his family sure offers a whole world of cultural influences! One that I was certainly interested in getting to know about!

His single DJE (which means money in Nigerian slang) was released on the 17th of June 2022 but don't be fooled into thinking that this piece has had its time under the spotlight! This tantalisingly infectious track is one of vibrance through its clever merging of Afrobeats with jazzy twist. Believe me when I say that you will move and groove!
Remember the multitude of cultures that I mentioned? Well, Prince Amine does not disappoint in executing his influences to perfection. There is some serious wordplay at bay, mixing English with a hint of French and Spanish, topping it off with a drop of Yoruba to give it that unique Prince Amine flavour. DJE is Prince Amine’s second collaboration with Nigerian producer JuwonMix and wow what a production this is!
