Following indie chart success, the Melbourne-based collective returns with a tribal-infused alt-rock single exploring vulnerability, disconnection, and emotional survival.
Satellite Train, the Melbourne-based indie rock collective featuring members and collaborators from Icehouse, AC/DC, and The Black Sorrows, push emotional boundaries with their latest single “Paralyzed”, released on 17 January 2025.
Blending alternative rock, pop, and soft rock with a dose of tribal percussion, Paralyzed tells a deeply relatable story: the ache of feeling unheard, unseen, and emotionally stuck. It’s a song built around contrast—introspective verses float over ambient textures, while the chorus erupts with cathartic power. The track’s emotional pulse is its heartbeat, driving the narrative of isolation in a world brimming with noise.

This release follows the success of their breakout single Wings, which peaked at #46 on the DRT Rock Chart and soared to #11 on the DRT Independent Charts, now nearing a full year on the charts—a massive achievement for a truly independent act.
Known for capturing songs in raw, emotional moments, Satellite Train reject over-polished perfection in favour of something real and resonant. Paralyzed exemplifies that approach, marrying sonic innovation with a deeply personal core.
At the heart of this track is the band’s evolving vision. Paralyzed is just the beginning of what they describe as a “bold experiment in sound, structure, and storytelling.” Two new albums are slated for release later in 2025, promising a conceptual leap that will blur the line between music and immersive experience.
For now, Paralyzed stands as a compelling chapter—rich in atmosphere, heavy in heart, and primed for repeat listens. It’s a song that doesn’t just resonate—it stays.
