Recorded at Buffalo Studios, the Liverpool-born songwriter delivers a cinematic acoustic ballad steeped in heartbreak and timeless storytelling.

Paul Claxton, the Liverpool-born, London-based singer-songwriter, returns with his evocative new single “Lost & Found”, released on 12 April 2025 via Trifle Toe Hot Records. Blending acoustic intimacy with vintage folk-pop textures, the song is a soul-stirring homage to love, loss, and emotional reckoning.

Recorded in February 2025 at Buffalo Studios and produced by JJ Pilon, Lost & Found channels the spirit of 60s folk and 70s Americana. Featuring Claxton on vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, the track is stripped-down yet emotionally expansive—harking back to the stylings of Roy Orbison, Lennon & McCartney, and Bob Dylan, with hints of Gram Parsons and Dusty Springfield.

“From 60’s country Americana to 60’s pop & soul,” reads the official release. “Paul’s heartfelt and intimate vocals are left to shine with his lyrics bringing a thought-provoking and vivid imagery.”

Musically, Lost & Found leans into delicate finger-picking patterns and ghostly vocal layers, drawing comparisons to soundtrack-ready folk ballads. Described as a song you might hear “on a film outro,” its cinematic tone is rooted in Claxton’s ability to craft music that resonates on both a personal and universal scale.

His past releases have received praise for their vintage tone and emotional clarity.

“His impeccable musicianship and heartfelt songwriting is breathtaking as he blends vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars to create that unmistakable vintage sound,” writes TJPL News.

Over the years, Paul has performed alongside artists such as Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff), Nick Harper, Kiki Dee, Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers), and Jean Jacques Burnel (The Stranglers). His previous band Pineapple supported major acts including Super Furry Animals, Space, Mansun, and Hurricane #1.

Live, Claxton has graced stages at The Apollo, The Liverpool Philharmonic, and acoustic festivals including Glastonbury, showcasing his depth across both intimate and large-scale venues. He's also performed in Toronto, Boston, San Francisco, and throughout Europe and the UK.

With Lost & Found, Paul Claxton reaffirms his place as a songwriter steeped in heritage but grounded in raw, emotional storytelling—a timeless voice for modern heartache.
