Harlow’s Monkeys are bringing the heat. The indie rock heat that is. Their latest single, ‘You Don't Have To Change’ is a blast from start to finish. An energetic and hopeful song that unleashes its inner passions upon you as you take in the listing melody and the loveable vocals. There are very few bands who can push music that is all at once fun, honest, sweet, smart and sounds good all at once. You might get a few of those qualities, but any more than that and they drop the latter and the whole song sounds a mess. The secret, it seems, is to keep it simple. Harlow’s Monkeys have dropped a track that hits every one of those qualities whilst also sounding bloody fantastic. It's smooth, it's bouncy, it's rocking and it's clever. The vocals and their harmonies soar at the climax and they could keep going and going into the charts if we push them hard enough. You never know, Harlow could be the new Arctic.
