Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Ava Valianti's latest release, "Laugh Track," explores themes of identity and self-doubt through a captivating indie-pop lens.

Emerging from Massachusetts' vibrant music scene, 15-year-old singer-songwriter Ava Valianti continues to captivate audiences with her latest single, "Laugh Track," released on April 4, 2025. Known for her emotive storytelling and distinctive indie-pop sound, Ava delves deep into themes of self-doubt, identity, and the perpetual pressure to perform.

In "Laugh Track," Ava frames her life as a sitcom, grappling with the unsettling question: is the laughter surrounding her supportive or derisive? This narrative is enriched by references to cultural touchstones like The Truman Show and How I Met Your Mother's Ted Mosby, highlighting the universal struggle with self-awareness and the quest for authenticity. The track's bright soundscape juxtaposes its introspective lyrics, creating a compelling contrast that resonates with listeners.

Reflecting on the song's genesis, Ava shares, "I wrote 'Laugh Track' as a way to process the feeling of always being 'on'—like I'm performing even when no one's watching. I've always had this weird sense that my life is being observed, like I'm in some kind of TV show where my mistakes are the punchline. This song is me stepping back and asking, 'Am I in control of my own story, or am I just playing a part?'"

Since her debut with "bubble wrap" in 2023, Ava has consistently demonstrated her ability to blend raw emotion with indie-pop sensibilities. Her previous singles, including "Middle Ground," "January," and "Wishing Well," have garnered significant attention, earning her two New England Music Award nominations and a Runner-Up spot in the 21st annual International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA). Her music has been featured on over 130 radio stations nationwide, solidifying her status as a rising star in the industry.

To celebrate the release of "Laugh Track," Ava performed at the iconic Charlie’s Kitchen in Harvard Square, Cambridge, on April 5th. Fans experienced her latest work live, alongside a setlist of original songs and fan favourites, further showcasing her dynamic stage presence and deep connection with her audience.

"Laugh Track" is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms. Listeners are invited to immerse themselves in Ava Valianti's latest exploration of self and society, a track that promises to resonate with anyone who has ever questioned their role in the narrative of life.
