E.W. Harris is a singer-songwriter, producer and experimental artist he has gifted us with his latest single ‘The Damage’ and it is absolutely astonishing. This track is full of passion, heart and soul, you can feel flow through you as you get captivated by the soulful aura created. The song starts with a wash of doubled-up vocals instantly capturing you, the guitar riff approaches gently strumming graceful pride. The vocals become clear and passionate expressing heartfelt and thought-provoking lyrics, with a linear drumbeat creating a sense of simplicity allowing the synth to have full power over the song.

NUMBER 2

DIVINE&ACAJOU - You Got Me Here

Divine&acajou is a singer-songwriter who has blessed us with this ever so-beautiful track ‘You Got Me Here’. A lovely and gentle picking of guitar notes starts the song as we await to hear her heavenly vocals approach, sharing with us adoring lyrics that are loving, uplifting and inspiring. The bass plays a soft jazz funk this adding depth lightly to the backing of the track as the guitar plays sweetly melodic throughout its entirety, this is all perfectly paired with the soft beats that are all punctuated by African rhythms. This is one I didn’t know I needed!

NUMBER 3

AINSLEY COSTELLO - Type

Nashville, Tennessee, United States

Ainsley Costello is back with us at TJPL News and I am ever so happy to hear new music! Costello’s latest release ‘Type’ is a fun, familiar yet fresh sound, this particular tune gives me a mix of Paramore and Katy Perry, a combination of Rock and Pop! The drums are loud, bold and energetic with the guitar riff punchy and driven, this giving the song edge as the gorgeous vocals give us the sassy yet playful attitude with super catchy lyrics, you will be singing along in no time! This tune is definitely added to my party rock playlist!

NUMBER 4

HELLO AMNESIA - UTYLGO

London, United Kingdom

Hello Amnesia holds that raw Rock N’ Roll infectious sound! I love and admire the captivation here with the song title, instantly intriguing you of the meaning behind it, thus until you hit play, rock out, sing along and wait for the penny to drop. The drums are bold, loud and proud creating an initiative of that heavy rock sound as the bass bounces brilliantly alongside the electric guitars. The riffs are powerfully energetic and exciting giving us that traditional rock sound we love and can’t resist, but also adding depth with that heavy rock edge, attitude and incredible solos.

NUMBER 5

ARN-IDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS AND ALIEN FRIENDS - Coffee

Stockholm, Sweden

AIFOAAF are back in the Top 10 and we here at TJPL News can’t get enough of their incredibly awesome sound! ‘Coffee’ is the B side track of ‘But Come On Now!’ and I’m loving the old skool vibes that hark back to vinyl days! ‘Coffee’ is super funky and fun making it undeniably catchy, you'll be jamming along to this tune. The song starts smooth before hitting us with an energetic vocal hook, the drums lead the song with a bold, steady beat as the bass creates a bouncing bop and the brass sections add an air of playfulness.

NUMBER 6

EVELYN BATES - It Was Perfect (Until It Wasn't)

London, United Kingdom

Evelyn Bates is a professional classical pianist as well as an instrumental composer who enjoys infusing her sound with a slight Pop style. It Was Perfect (Until It Wasn’t) is the latest track from this phenomenal musician who plays beautifully with an elegant touch creating a story-telling piece without lyrics that is truly amazing. This gentle gorgeous melody allows you to escape reality, escape your worries and imagine your dreams while sweetly listening to the perfectly played piano that expresses an uplifting and wonderment feeling. A soul-searching sound that is a perfectly sombre masterclass in writing a piano piece.

NUMBER 7

MICHELLES - This Tune's A Circle

Chicago, IL, United States

Michelles is a psychedelic Pop band who’ve gifted us with their latest release ‘This Tune’s A Circle’ and it does take us to another universe, especially with the help of the fun and floaty synth notes! The drumbeat is laid back but impactful as the guitar riff compliments the synth by being soft and subtle however, the synth is the predominate instrument driving the song this gives me E.L.O and Xanadu vibes, especially with the synth sparkles that I love! The song starts airy and smooth but gradually builds up into a synth solo that fades seamlessly into the finale.

NUMBER 8

GALACTIC FUZZ - Transparent

Las Vegas, United States

Galactic Fuzz is an Alternative Rock band that enjoys creating melodic Rock music from shared passions and inspirations such as Classic Rock and Grunge, Punk and Brit Pop. Their single ‘Transparent’ is short and sweet and a banger! The song approaches smoothly with a distortion of sounds that immediately absorb you! The drums kick in boldly with a steady yet heavy beat alongside a bouncy bass with a rough and edgy-sounding guitar riff that softens for the chorus, letting the electric guitar beautifully takes us away with gorgeous and generous guitar solos, thus giving us an 80’s Rock nostalgia feeling!

NUMBER 9

JOHN VENTO - Sweet Cheslie

Pittsburgh, PA, United States

Sweet Cheslie is the latest release from John Vento and it truly is a beautiful tune. The guitar riff is gentle and gorgeous throughout the entirety of the song. Starting the song with a smooth and elegant riff that is truly captivating to the body irresistibly making you softly sway along to the sweet sorrowful strings. The vocals are rich and raspy with a handsome tone that is completely mesmerising as we listen to the story that is being told within the lyrics, thus being the track's true captivating power. This soft tune is a storytelling, laid-back Sunday afternoon vibe!

NUMBER 10

DREAM OF A MAN IN A TOP HAT - Opposite Poles

Boston, United States

Dream Of A Man In A Top Hat is back in our Top 10 with their latest release ‘Opposite Poles’. Their sound is truly unique and quite playful giving us an easy-going vibe, the guitar riff starts the song with a 90’s Indie tone giving us a familiar intro before giving us something fresh and funky! The drums contrast the laid-back atmosphere of the track with bashful and brazen beats and frantic fills as the steady bass marries the guitar and the drums rather nicely. This is a tune I could definitely hear within a Drama / Indie film soundtrack!
